Frequently Asked Questions
-
Therapy is a collaborative process where a trained therapist helps you explore and work through issues that are important to you. It provides a safe, objective space to address current challenges and develop strategies for handling similar situations in the future. Whether you want to focus on a specific problem or tackle multiple concerns, therapy requires active participation from both the client and the therapist to achieve meaningful change.
-
Your first session is an initial assessment where we’ll discuss your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. During this session, you’ll also learn about how therapy works, review office policies, and discuss privacy and confidentiality. This is an opportunity to determine if you feel comfortable with your therapist and if this is the right fit for your needs.

Under federal law, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” detailing the expected cost of your medical care. This estimate applies to individuals who don’t have insurance or aren’t using insurance.
Key points about a Good Faith Estimate:
It outlines the total expected cost of non-emergency items or services, including related fees like medical tests, prescriptions, or equipment.
You should receive a written estimate at least one business day before your scheduled service.
If your bill is at least $400 more than your estimate, you can dispute it for a $25 fee.
Save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for reference.
